Germany is home
to approximately 250,000 US citizens. The Germany Chapter of
Republicans Abroad serves this community through:
Voter assistance
Public outreach and education
Political access
RA provides Republicans living
abroad with a means to network with other like-minded individuals and
contribute to the continued success of Republicans both in the US and around the
world. RA does not discriminate on the basis of nationality and welcomes
membership by all interested individuals and organizations.
With chapters in over 50 countries, RA
is an international association of organizations and individuals who share a
commitment to Republican principles. GOP victories in close election contests depend on the participation of RA's legions of volunteers around the world. This volunteer association mobilizes
conservative absentee voters for US elections. As these election margins are often extremely narrow, absentee votes are critical to the election of many Republican candidates.
Germany hosts one of the single largest populations of non-resident US citizens according to US State Department estimates. This means that Germany is one of the single most important chapters in RA. Furthermore, up to 80% of these citizens identify themselves as Republicans or otherwise conservative. Thus the Germany Committee places a strong emphasis upon outreach and engagement of its membership through regular events and activities.
The Germany Committee's organization consists of a Country Chairman and officers elected to 2 year terms supported by a board of City Chairmen representing specific regions within the country. Each "City Committee" organizes activities within their community in cooperation with the Country Committee. As chapters are self-supporting, special emphasis is placed on cooperation and coordination to optimize fundraising activities, public relations and voter outreach.
The Germany Committee encourages a membership of individuals representing all age groups, backgrounds and professions.
We also provide unique internship
opportunities for students studying in Germany. RA offers unique leadership opportunities and an array of additional benefits. Whether you are looking to take an active role in campaign politics or simply seek to network with fellow Republicans living abroad, RA has a place for you.
